At approximately 8:30 a.m. on February 10, the yellow construction gantry (truss) used to install precast deck sections on the north approach of the new Port Mann Bridge experienced a malfunction and is leaning south, toward the cable-stay section of the bridge.
Immediately following the incident, the contractor cleared and secured the affected location and notified the appropriate local officials an authorities. There were no injuries. The site and gantry are secure.
