As part of the Port Mann/Highway 1 (PMH1) Improvement Project, multi-use paths are included within the interchange upgrades along the project corridor. These upgrades will increase opportunities for cyclists to cross the highway, enhance connections to regional cycling networks and provide a new access over the Fraser River on the new Port Mann Bridge.
Lougheed Highway
The existing Lougheed Highway shoulder cycling route will be maintained and a direct connection will be provided to the communities east of the Fraser River via a new multi-use path on the new Port Mann Bridge.
United Boulevard and Mary Hill Bypass
New connections will also be provided between Lougheed Highway and United Boulevard and the Mary Hill Bypass for both cyclists and pedestrians.
Port Mann Bridge and Fawcett Road
In addition, a multi-use path south of Highway 1 and parallel to United Boulevard will be provided between the Port Mann Bridge and the intersection of Fawcett Road.
