A number of community consultation programs have been held in the Vancouver/Burnaby area to provide an opportunity for input from residents in the construction areas. The work in these areas is at varying stages. Please visit the specific community consultation areas listed below for information on these initiatives.
Douglas Road to Sprott Street Local Area Consultation
Between August 19 and September 23, 2011, consultation is taking place for residents of the Douglas Road to Sprott Street area in Burnaby, adjacent to Highway 1. The purpose of this consultation is to provide local area residents with current information about Port Mann/Highway 1 improvements and to consult on design features such as noise walls and finishing options. Local area consultation for other sections of the highway will be undertaken as the project progresses. Notification will be posted to this website and mailed to local area residents and businesses as appropriate.

Government Street Transit Ramps Local Area Consultation and Public Information Session
Between June 15 and 22, 2011, consultation on plans for new Government Street Transit Ramps to and from Highway 1 as part of the Port Mann/Highway 1 (PMH1) Improvement Project took place, as well as long-term noise reduction plans for this area of the PMH1 Project. Grandview Highway / Boundary Road Local Area Open House
From February 8, 2011 to February 21, 2011, a local area consultation was held for the Grandview Highway and Boundary Road area of Burnaby. The purpose of this consultation was to provide local area residents with current information about Port Mann/Highway 1 improvements and to consult on design features such as noise walls and finishing options.
Manor Street - Local Area Consultation
From October 28 to November 4, 2009, local area consultation was held for Manor Street between Wayburne Drive and Douglas Road in Burnaby. The purpose was to provide local area residents with current information about PMH1 Improvements and to consult on design features such as noise walls and landscaping options.
