The Port Mann/Highway 1 (PMH1) Improvement Project has an ongoing community relations program to ensure that residents, municipalities and other key stakeholders are informed of upcoming construction and project activities. In the Coquitlam/Cape Horn region, the PMH1 project has held three community consultation sessions. PMH1 also regularly attends local events to provide information to project stakeholders. Information from Coquitlam/Cape Horn consultations can be found below.
Brunette Avenue to North Road Local Area Consultation
From September 16, 2010 to September 30, 2010, a local area consultation was held for Brunette Avenue to North Road residents along Highway 1 in Coquitlam. The purpose was to provide local residents with current information about PMH1 Improvements and to consult on design features such as noise walls and finishing options.
Cape Horn Interchange Improvements Open House
On May 18, 2010, a open house was held for members of the public to hear more about the new Cape Horn Interchange, which is currently under construction as part of the Port Mann/Highway 1 (PMH1) Improvement Project.

Cape Horn - Local Area Consultation
From January 28 to February 4, 2010, local area consultation was held for Cape Horn residents in Coquitlam. The purpose was to provide local area residents with current information about PMH1 Improvements and to consult on design features such as noise walls, berms and landscaping options. Local area consultation for other sections of the highway will be undertaken as the project progresses. Notices will be posted to this website and mailed to local area residents and businesses as appropriate.

Colony Farm Tidal Flow Restoration and Habitat Enhancement Project - Open House
The Colony Farm Tidal Flow Restoration and Habitat Enhancement Project is part of the Port Mann/Highway 1 (PMH1) Improvement Project and the work includes habitat and water management improvements at Wilson Farm, and area within Colony Farm Regional Park. There has been extensive consultation over a two-year period, which provided important input that has been used to refine the proposed design for tidal flow restoration and habitat improvements at Wilson Farm. Consultation for this project started in March 2008 and has included multiple stakeholder groups as well as the public.
