Transportation Investment Corporation (TI Corp) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of fair, open and honest communications in the acquisition of goods and services.

The Procurement and Contracts department, reporting through Finance and Administration, ensures that all potential suppliers are provided equal opportunity to do business with TI Corp through adherence to TI Corp’s procurement policies and procedures. Procurement and Contracts recognizes that price, quality and performance must be considered when determining the total cost of ownership, and endeavors to maximize total value to TI Corp in its procurement practices.

TI CORP POLICY STATEMENT

The Procurement and Contracts Policy states that TI Corp will:

  • Apply sound procurement and contracting practices in support of our objective to procure goods and services that represent the highest overall value to TI Corp;
  • Foster a competitive fair and transparent procurement environment; and
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

TI Corp was established under the Transportation Investment Act (2008) and conducts its procurement in compliance with Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT), the Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA), and the New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA).

TI Corp is accountable to the public through the British Columbia’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act [RSBC 1996] (FOIPPA). Persons engaged in procurement activities on behalf of TI Corp are aware of and comply with FOIPPA requirements.

COMPETITIVE BID OPPORTUNITIES

TI Corp uses BC Bid to advertise and solicit offers which exceed established financial thresholds in accordance with TI Corp’s Procurement and Contracts Policy. Proposals are evaluated based on predetermined criteria, which directly relates to the requirements set out in the competitive bid document.

TI Corp does not maintain a Preferred Supplier list, and encourages Suppliers to refer to the BC Bid website for procurement opportunities with TI Corp.
